Seeing the Unseen explores the encounter between microbiology and art, a meeting between scientific inquiry and creative interpretation

Transforming the invisible into experience and science something both understood and felt

Microbes shape the chemical and ecological infrastructure of life, quietly constructing the environments that sustain entire ecosystems. Yet this vast living world remains largely invisible to the human eye

Through scientific imagery, experimental systems, and artistic responses, the exhibition reveals this hidden choreography translating invisible processes into structure, color, and form. By bringing laboratory research into dialogue with artistic practice, Seeing the Unseen invites viewers to reconsider scale, perception, and the boundaries between disciplines.

From individual microbial cells to the interactions between them, and ultimately to the assembly of complex communities, life unfolds through exchanges of matter, energy, and signals. These microscopic interactions generate dynamic chemical landscapes that drive succession, stability, and transformation.
